Children in Worship

We are delighted to see our children’s ministry growing!

In 2024, we introduced Godly Play, a hands-on, storytelling-based program for children ages 2.5 to 12 during Sunday services. This engaging approach helps young minds explore Bible stories in a meaningful way, and it has been heartwarming to see children carry these lessons with them throughout the week. New families have joined us, friendships have formed, and our church community continues to thrive.

For families with young children, we offer colouring pages, clipboards, and pencil cases at the back of the worship space. These provide a quiet, creative way for little ones to stay engaged during the service.

Our nursery space, located in the chapel at the back of the worship area, is available for parents with infants who may need a calm place to step away while still feeling connected to the service.

We warmly welcome all children and families to be part of our growing community—come see what’s new!

Infants & children are

welcome at our services.

At Christ Church Cataraqui, we are committed to nurturing the faith of our youngest members.

In 2024, with the support of an $8,000 diocesan grant, we introduced Godly Play, a Montessori-inspired program that encourages children (ages 3-12) to explore spirituality through storytelling, reflection, and play.

Sunday Morning Godly Play

Each Sunday from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, children gather for an engaging storytelling, art and family-friendly activities, followed by a period of reflection. They then join the main service before communion. This program aligns with Anglican liturgy, offering children a meaningful way to experience worship.

Godly Play

A Monthly Family Potluck

On the last Sunday of each month from 4:00 – 6:00 pm in Gibson Hall, families are invited to a special Godly Play Family Potluck. Pastor Lynn leads the storytelling while children engage in the lesson, and parents prepare a shared feast. This event is a wonderful opportunity for families who may not attend morning services to experience Godly Play together in a warm and welcoming setting.

Kids of all ages and accompanying adults welcome!

To register, contact Pastor Lynn by text at 613-213-8458.
