What is "Stewardship"?
Stewardship, viewed through the lens of faith, refers to the responsible and ethical management of financial according to our values. Stewardship, in general, is a concept deeply rooted in Christian theology, emphasizing the idea that humans are entrusted by God to care for and manage the resources of the Earth. This involves recognizing that all material wealth and possessions ultimately belong to God, and individuals are seen as stewards or caretakers rather than owners. Stewardship reflects a deep commitment to Christian values, generosity, ethical conduct, and a sense of responsibility to both God and the broader community.
How can I give to Christ Church?
If you would like to contribute financially to Christ Church Cataraqui, there are three ways to do that:
Pre-Authorized Givings (PAG) - PAG is a convenient way to give regularly. When you are registered for PAG, your bank account will be debited automatically. You may also request monthly charges to your Visa or Mastercard. This amount will then be credited to the Christ Church Cataraqui account.
Paypal - PayPal is a simple way of making your regular offering or a one-time gift.
3. Envelopes - Envelopes are a time honoured way to give to the church. They can be dropped on the collection plate or in the church's mail slot.
Tax receipts are issued annually for all givings, regardless of the method in which they are given.
If you have any questions about giving, please don't hesitate to contact our Envelope Secretary, Olivera Gale at giving@christchurchkingston.ca.
How do I enroll in Pre-Authorized Giving?
To enroll, follow these three steps:
Decide on an amount to be transferred from your bank account or credit card routinely each month.
Fill out the form and sign it. You may download and print the form below, or contact the envelope secretary to request a form.
Insert the completed form and void cheque or credit card information in an envelope and place it on the offering plate.
